I was chasing a buzz and mixed alcohol and Xanax. I had a stroke and fell down the stairs in my home. I bled from all four quadrants of my brain and was comatose for a month and had serotonin syndrome. I had to relearn how to walk and all the basics we take for granted like wiping ones own rear end. Now after five years sober I can walk (not well lol) and I can work part time. Most importantly I can stick around with my family and watch my daughter grow up.
