I’m a retired police officer/investigator. Starting the job later than most (32 years old) I brought demons with me…a divorce and a separation from my two daughters. I also had some time in the Army. I accumulated more demons on the job, as is normal in this line of work. The things I experienced, saw, smelled, heard, they don’t go away. They manifest themselves at odd times and kind of blindside me. My faith in God has certainly gotten me through but I struggle from time to time. My demons are behind me, but they’re in arms reach.
