I grew up playing music and living a rockstar lifestyle; partying, drinking, drugs, you name it. I'm not sure I would have made it out of my 20s if I didn't cut it all out and relocate for a fresh start. 

15 years later, after a divorce and some very dark times mentally, I put all my focus into my kids. If it weren't for them I almost certainly wouldn't be here. I selfishly neglected my health and found myself in the back of an ambulance at 45 years old having a major heart attack. Seeing the faces of my children before being airlifted to a major hospital for surgery changed everything for me.

I'm 46 now, 8 months out from the heart attack. I've lost 50lbs in that time. My health is my priority for me and for my kids. I don't know how many more tomorrow's I have left, but I'm going to make the most of every one I'm given.

My demons are behind me. Yes, my dark humor intentionally included the pics of my kids behind me... But they are angels.
