In 2010 I was arrested by the Feds for Conspiracy to Manufacture. I was pretty messed up and strung out on methamphetamines . I am married and have three children 2 of which were already married and out of the house. The 3rd, my son was still at home and in school. He was very popular and was on the swim team. The day I was busted he was staying at a friends house for the night. The next day when he went to school he found out from his friends that I had been arrested, it was on the TV and in the papers. This was devastating to him because he had no idea what I was doing. Needless to say he was also angry at me. When I was sentenced to 60 months in Federal prison I thought the world as I had known it was over. I thought I’d never get a decent job or ever gain my family’s love respect and trust back. When I got to prison I met a man who saw that I was struggling and he spoke with me as if he had known me my entire life. He spoke with me about my family and also about our God. As time went on I learned about Christ and about His love for us. About a year after I was incarcerated I gave my life over to Christ and soon things started to change. My wife had struggled with me being locked up and my children were angry with the embarrassment that I had caused them. I prayed everyday that they would forgive me and that God would help them through this. Out of the blue I received a letter from my youngest son letting me know after he had graduated he joined the Marines! I was so very proud of him. A few weeks later I received another letter from my daughter telling me she was engaged to be married and had started college. Again I was so proud of her. The next few years I kept myself busy with classes, working on my health (I’m over 50 and at that time over weight) and going to church. Prison is were I turned my life around. The only real fear I had was what kind of job will I find when I get home. I kept reminding myself that I had been saved and was now under Gods grace. After 5 years I was released but had another 5 years of probation. At the halfway house I was released to my wife was able to come see me often. We were both working on our marriage. She is a beautiful wonderful woman and stayed with me through all of this. A man I met while I was incarcerated had told me to get in touch with him when I got home and he’d help me get a job with a man he knew. I had heard this so many times that I didn’t really pay attention to it. Then after 5 months of halfway house time one day I was called to the front desk. I was checking with the officer when a big cowboy grabbed me and hugged me and then I realized it was the man who had told me he would help me when I got home. He checked me out and took me to met he man he had told me about. This man gave me an excellent job and never questioned me about my past. I soon found out this man was also a very strong believer in God and had helped others like me. God had answered another one of my prayers ( and believe me there were many). I’ve been home now for 11 years and things are great in my life! My wife and I are preparing for retirement, my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren have a very strong relationship. My son is out of the Marines now and has been at his job for over 10 years. My daughter graduated college and now is married and works for the railroad. My oldest son is now a welder. And last but definitely not least my wife has a job with a very strong company and doing awesome. I turned it all over to Christ and with His love strength and forgiveness He has changed my entire life. I pray that this testimony will help others who have made a mistake to know that if you can turn your life over to Christ He can help you through the worst of times. He is the strength that keeps the Demons Behind Me!!!!! God bless
