My husband sent me the link to your website for a Christmas list idea this year! I ordered a shirt, I'm sure he'll love it. He's a retired police officer here in Minnesota. He had to medically retire with PTSD after 22 years... It's been a very tough road, contains every emotion you could imagine. He certainly never wanted to leave under those conditions, but the work and stress was just too much. There was a day where he officially knew he couldn't do it any longer. Mental health deteriorating and he was suffering terribly. He was going to be a danger to himself. I give him so much credit for making that very impossible decision. He did it for our family: we've been married for 21 years and we have amazing triplet sons that need their dad. It's been three years since the day he left the police department, and although he's better, he's not out of the woods. The legal process for medical retirement (granting you full access to your medical and pension benefits even though you are retiring early) is enough to give one PTSD if you didn't already have it. Lawyers and doctors making you prove your mental condition time and time again, with so much at stake. Glad to say that he has embraced therapy as well as equine therapy, and that can certainly help. His sons and I are happy participants in the process of getting him balanced and stable. One day at a time, right??? I love your approach to demons being behind you.
