I'm an Ex Gang member from Los Angeles, born in the 70s. Was active for 30 plus years. Did 6 years in Y.A. Pico and Billings for a violent offense and I served 14 yrs in prison in California and Nevada for drug trafficking and other various geng enhanced crimes. Decided that enough was enough. I flipped my script and started helping others through their struggles advocating for peace and violence reduction. I used that platform to become a mental health provider and advocate. Now I create programs for a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center that focuses on Peer Support and Assited Outpatien Treatment for Court Mandated Treatment. This is for people who would be a danger to themselves or the community without medication and mental health support and services. With that also comes re-entry services for inmates who are about to be released so, that they'll have a better chance to be successful and not reoffend or be re-hospitalized.
