I was a long time alcoholic. In 2019 work was starting to stress me out and my solution was to increase my intake. At some point mid year my wife suggested I quit, get into trucking. I did, the alcohol shakes went away and my alcohol intake diminished. I would only drink when I was home. Meaning catching up for 5 weeks in 3 days. After 3 years I decided to come home full time and work local. In 2022 my body started rejecting alcohol leading me to spend 4 days in the hospital in a coma. I gave up alcohol for a few months until hurricane Ian hit us. Again stress took hold. I decided to go back out on the road in 2023 to get more money flowing again and help keep me sober. Well the company I worked for did not care about the driver, only the load. So I quit. Came home and right back to alcohol. Finally after getting some actual help from a care facility. I have been sober for 18 months, and hold a local job I truly love. I have not looked back to to the alcohol. I love myself more and proudly flash my DBM gear. Thank You for your message. It means a lot to my family and I.
