I came across this brand 1.5 years ago at Welcome to Rockville and fell in love with the message. I purchased a tank top, bracelet and hat. I wear that hat everywhere. My story is a long one. I battled with an abusive relationship in high school that led to a cutting addiction and suicide attempts. I was very good a cutting. I was addicted to the euphoria behind causing myself pain when overwhelmed. It released endorphins and calmed me. I used a razor blade and never cut deep. I would never cut in the same place until the first cut would heal. So those around me would never catch on. I hit my lowest point in 2018 and finally decided I needed help. Over the past 6 years, I would say I finally have control over my depression and PTSD. I have come to realize that I solved all of my problems by being hyper independent versus asking for help. My husband has helped me through processing that my independence came through neglect by my parents. In 2024 alone, I set boundaries from my family, had a total of 3 miscarriages, one of which led to sepsis and nearly killed me. I have made it through these hardships without relapsing on my cutting and making sure to ask for help. I love this brand and what it stands for. I was even more excited when I found out it is based out of Jacksonville. My husband and I live in Fleming Island and he was able to meet one of the artists.
