Hello all. I recently ordered a hat through you, and I just received it. It is perfect, and couldn't have come at a better time. I'm currently going through the roughest time of my life right now, and things like your products, and the associated story behind them, help me push through each day. I'm 44 years old and just got put on disability due to previous injuries and other health issues. Along with this I have also recently lost my long-term relationship, including the child I helped raise and love like my own. My son is 18, getting ready to graduate, and then going to the Marines. I couldn't be more proud of him, and happy for him, but it's also very scary. I will soon be alone in a way I've never experienced. These things, along with the added stresses of the financial hardships from being on disability, the feelings of inadequacy and being unworthy, the isolation due to my situation, and the constant health struggles have put me in a very dark place. I have lost all joy and purpose in my life. If it wasn't for my son I don't know if my story would be the same. However, seeing things like the stories shared here and knowing what other people have went through and came out the other side does inspire hope. Hope is a strong tool, and it is invaluable when the darkness seems overwhelming. I bought my hat to not only remind myself to keep fighting and do my best every day to put my demons behind me, but also as a conversation starter. I know I'm not the only one out there who is struggling, and sometimes a little conversation can go a long way. Especially when I can explain the meaning behind the hat and the company. Who knows who it might help, especially when someone is at their lowest and can really use to let it out to someone who might understand their mindset. I will wear it with pride, especially on those days when I need a reminder myself to push through, and leave my demons behind me.
