My story. I was a firefighter and was involved in an accident the broke my neck in two places. I could no longer be a firefighter or my other career. During my surgeries and very long recovery I fell into a dark place. Suicide and drug issues became the focus for me. I took a long time to get through and find a path forward. I found Demons Behind me and use that thinking to keep me moving forward still. I wear it everywhere I go and even have a patch on my service dogs vest. I love sharing your mantra and telling my story. I can only hope one person can see that the tunnel isn't as dark as it seems and the more you talk the brighter it gets. I bare the scars of my worst days but I hope to keep others from feeling that helpless.
