Three years ago our lives changed forever. I was a Special Education Director of a special needs school and my husband was a stay at home dad. He’s been a stay at home dad with all 3 of our kids. Within a matter of a couple of weeks I went from working full time to barely being able to walk. I had numbness from the waist down and my left hand. We were worried sick as this came on so fast. I could no longer drive and much of my independence was lost. A visit to the doctor ended with more tests and a referral to a neurologist to rule things in or out. In just a matter of weeks I was diagnosed with MS. Our lives were shattered. We thought we were going to lose everything. My husband went back to work, thank goodness he was able to go back to his field fairly quickly without too much loss. Now 3 years later, I’ve gotten on a good track with infusions that have given me the ability to drive and regain some independence. It has been a whirlwind however the strength of my husband and my children has pushed me through the tough times.
