In 2022 at the age of 70 I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and like most people I assumed since pancreatic cancer kills so many and quickly most of the time I did not not have much more time left on this earth, the good doctors at the hospital in did surgery and the outlook was optimistic, then almost a year after I had the original surgery they discovered it had spread to my brain and I had a second surgery to remove that tumor as well, and I started chemotherapy for a second time, only this time they could stop the cancer and it would show up again somewhere in my body, during that time of recuperation from surgery I had time to think and being a reborn Christian I did so with Gods word the Bible as my guide, I’m not going to say I’m not apprehensive about dying but being saved brings a whole different dimension to it and practicality eliminated the why me God ! question why did I have to be struck by cancer that we as human beings often ask ourselves, I am a forgiven sinner and no matter what the future holds for me it will be alright with my trust and faith in Jesus Christ as my savior my past can not harm me.
