Quite honestly I had never heard of DBM until I saw your ad on my Instagram, I was immediately impressed with a flannel that caught my (& immediately purchased).

More importantly I was struck by your logo & meaning behind it.

As a retired LEO of 26 years, I find your message meaningful & powerful not only to LEO’s, Military, EMS, Fire & Dispatchers (Active & Retired), but all walks of life. We’re all human, life happens, we all have struggles, obvious, not so obvious, spoken & unspoken & we all fail & all must rise for or sake & the sake of our loved ones.

I’ve seen & encountered 26 years & all forms of life, death, struggles, failures, triumphs, redemption, judgement, chaos & a wide variety of life experiences, miracles, trauma, tragedy, love, laughter, loss, personally & professionally & one of the many things I learned is those life experiences come with a price, tax your soul so to speak if you have no one to share them with, the good, the bad & the ugly.

Those life experiences never leave you, even in retirement. We may be be the rock & good guidance & advice for others, but we often forget about ourselves & listen to our own advice & guidance.

I realize I haven’t spoken about my personal struggles or challenges, I’m sure we could talk for hours lol. my emphasis is on your message, it applies to everyone.

I’ve learned we’re all villains in someone’s story as much as we may be heroes in someone’s story. Some of those struggles & experiences take many negative forms in our lives & the best thing you can is forgive yourself & put that weight down so your spirit doesn’t carry it anymore & knowing those struggles/demons may haunt you at unexpected times in the form of triggers & that’s normal.

Don’t be afraid to get help, sharing your experiences with others will remind you that you’re not alone & sharing & putting your demons with someone you trust or a counselor is the first step to putting your demons behind you.

Demons Behind Me has a simple & powerful message & many people have approached me about the garments I’ve purchased & worn & asked the meaning behind it & they have also felt the message on a personal level & were directed to your website.

I forgot to mention, a little more detail for myself, I am Native American & I served as a Federal Officer for 26 years in many positions & capacities & several locations throughout the country. The primary agencies & locations I served are often referred to as Indian Country a.k.a. Indian Reservations.

Beautiful & expansive areas, but often under staffed & overworked, working alone & with ever present & ever changing big city problems. & challenges.
