I was in active addiction for 25 years. I used whatever I could find. I was in and out of jails, rehabs, detoxs and hospital and eventually become homeless. I would go in and out of the rooms recovery like a revolving door. On May 13, 2013 I finally got into Salvation Army, Center of Hope in Sarasota Florida, and haven't picked up since. I just celebrated 10 years clean. Today I'm employable, have a wonderful husband and have repaired my relationships with famil. Especially my son..that was the hardest one due me to being a addiction for most of his life. Today I get to go back to the jails & institutions I used to frequent to fo service work.
