I served 11 ½ years in the Army, I came out with severe combat related PTSD. I am also a recovered alcoholic/drug addict. I have been clean a little over 5 years now. I am also a follower of Christ… He is the only reason I am still alive today. My demons kept my mental pain & addiction alive since I got out of the Army in ‘98… until I finally surrendered & laid it all at the foot of The Cross.

Today I walk a free man, there are still bad days but who doesn’t have them. This month marks one year since I’ve been on the VA psychiatric ward.

We can’t cast out our demons… if we still entertain them.

Let Jesus drive the struggle bus & hold on… cause He’s driving it like He stole it!
