I went into a dark place following a triple fatal fire in 2016. The ensuing Trauma Therapy found I was carrying the demons of 30+ years of being a firefighter. I struggled for a long time to understand what my demons meant, and wanted. After a year of therapy I began teach about Traumatic Stress to first responders, and their families. I have touched over 2000 responders since 2016, with follow ups letting me know I have helped MANY responders from fighting their own demons.

I’m getting ready to place an order with DBM and started reading these blogs,I feel at one time or another we all have found ourselves in a very dark place,I do admit to my own personel struggles but nothing to what I’ve been reading,Ya’ll have touched my soul and made me realize just how lucky i’ve been in my life.God Bless you all who continue to battle your Demons,Be Strong,reach out to someone.My solution was always to isolate myself from everyone,which for me only made things worse,makes it to easy for more Demons to get into your head,I still find myself fighting these Damn Demons from time to time but find it much easier asking God for help! He’s the only one who really knows whats going on in my head.At some point were all gonna die,But until then be Happy live your Life with no F ing Demons
