My demons are many and brought me to my knees many times. From an abusive parent, drug addiction, loss of my daughter, decision to break the cycle of abuse, loss of my brother to suicide, 3 failed marriages, and currently the loss of a parents memory. When life and the things in it bring you to your knees you have 3 options. 1) let it make you bitter and hide behind the fact that life isn't fair, 2) let it overcome you as it did my brother so you end the pain for yourself by creating more pain for the loved ones left behind, or 3) you can rise above it all like a Phoenix. You must burn brighter than the fire all around you. Option 1 and 2 are the easy ones because it requires no work on your end but I am here to tell you that if you want a better life for you and the ones that come after you please pick option 3. It's hard, I will never tell you that it's easy but I can also tell you that when you rise and put those demons behind you there is peace, happiness, and a love for others that no one can take or mistake for fake. Be a Phoenix in the world of fire!!
